With 7,107 islands, you will find long stretches of beaches, great snorkeling and diving spots, breathtaking waterfalls, and diverse flora and fauna species. The archipelago has so many best kept secrets that continue to amaze travelers and tourists.

Not many may put the Philippines in their itinerary. But when you do, make sure that you never miss these five beautiful places:

Puerto Princesa Underground River

There is good reason why this spot on earth made it to the 7 Natural Wonders of the World finalists. The green water at the mouth of the cave is enough to entice you to explore what is hidden under those mountains. The rock formations inside the river never fail to wow every visitor. The underground river has a sense of mystery that attracts every adventurist into its bosom.

Banaue Rice Terraces

The cascading rice paddies were formed by tribal groups long ago. As our modern world give way to technology, the Banaue rice terraces stand as a living testament of the ingenuity of Filipinos. It’s not only the scenic landscape, but also the cool weather, the rich culture, and the interesting people that make a rewarding trek to Banaue.

Coron’s Kayangan Lake
