Tso moriri Lake in India

When I think about the best places where I have been to, maximum of them are from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It really bewitched me the moment I saw the gigantic Himalayas and snow capped hills of the state. I still can’t stop singing praises of this beautiful state.
One of the places where I got eternal soulful happiness was the Tso Moriri lake. It lies a little off Leh-Manali road in the Rupshu valley. The lake gets it water from the snow peaks of the Changthang plateau. The exquisite natural beauty of this place bowled me over. This spectacular water body has been declared as a wetland conservation reserve for the protection of the habitat and preservation of birdlife. Several efforts are being taken by the Tso Moriri Conservation Trust to safeguard the natural beauty of the state. I also came to know that due to the increasing influx of tourists, the avi fauna of this lake is being affected. However this lake has very much charm.
