From the beginning our mission has remained the same…to empower, motivate and inspire. In 2007, Jennifer Barbee, Inc. conquered the world. Or what felt like the world, to us. As a group of talented and unique individuals, we set forth on a mission to build an interactive agency that felt more like a family, than an agency. We kept it small, for a reason. And we are eternally thankful we did so. The boutique nature of our business allowed us to venture into uncharted territory and use our small army to conquer challenges that would overwhelm larger agencies. In addition, we were able to create strategy that was truly a joint effort- with input from each and every member of our team. We involve everyone in everything and this has had an overwhelming impact on who we have become.
In 2009, we reached new heights, utilizing interactive media that had yet to be introduced to the travel industry and in doing so, introduced our clients to a new era of engagement. We didn’t just create goals, we set our sights on the sky and hit the heavens. There is nothing more rewarding. Through all of this, we made lifelong friends, partners and evangelists. But the most important thing we accomplished in that remarkable year was discovering who we really were, and why we’re here in this industry, in this time and in this particular position. We realized it was time to return to our mission from the beginning…to EMPOWER.
Our story doesn’t end here…we are continuing to write our story, even though we haven’t lived it yet. We can’t wait to be there, at our destination … to really live and breathe what keeps us inspired every day…
DotCom Diva Unplugged is a unique series of lectures, engaging conversation and retreats that focus on Women+Web+Wellness. This vision is one that has come to us through countless conversations, ideas, inquiries and an overpowering passion to empower women in our industry. It’s no secret that stress, anxiety, poor diet and frustration about balancing a healthy lifestyle with our professional lives affects each and every one of us.
Through this series beginning in March 2010, we are focusing our work and educational efforts on becoming a source of empowerment for the female community. Bringing together a group of inspiring experts in the fields of life coaching, meditation, holistic healing, nutrition and intuitive energy, we are combining our essential web education tactics with wellness techniques. Through this powerful combination, we will strip away the layers of built up stress, tactical thinking and missed lunches to unearth the powerful, brilliant core within each of us. This is where brilliant ideas, seamless strategies and true intelligence comes from. We want to teach our fellow females to follow their intuition, to occasionally unplug from technology in order to find a deeper sense of self.
