Do you know QUITO? If I may, first a little history and geography and then we talk about bouldering near Quito...

During the first millennium, nomadic communities discovered the Quito area, and became sedentary and captivated by this land for its wealth and its strategic geographical location (just between the eastern tropical jungle and the coast). Over time they developed an important trade center in the region and that place became the nucleus of cultural mixture and economic hub of the northern Andes. During the sixteenth century the Incas conquered this land in order to raise the most beautiful empire never seen before, but the arrival of the Spaniard chose to light it on fire, leaving their dreams buried in ashes. Quito has been the scene of the greatest glories and defeats, the most incredible cultural fusions, the charm and enchantment of their residents and for its exotic beauty. Located in the Andes at 2,800 meters above sea level, Quito and their guests can enjoy in a day the four seasons of the year…in the morning you fell like in springtime, at midday you are in summer, at the afternoon you experience autumn and nights can easily feel you in the middle of a Londoner winter. In addition, the city is surrounded by four volcanoes that form a majestic Andean contour. The Pichincha, in 1999, got a big belch ash to encourage ... the image speaks for itself!
