Hi Just in case anyone visits the UK some inside cultural tips: 

1. We never tip at a bar - we only tip in taxis and meals (20%) - occasionally at a hotel but no-one is offended if you don\'t tip .

2. Don\'t call anyone form Scotland or Wales,   English they will not forgive you

3.We are big on queues - we will always form an orderly queue and get most offended when people don\'t comply 

4.We are hopeless with languages (but you may have better luck in London)


5.It will rain

6.Always start a conversation with a comment about the weather - such as "It\'s raining" or "oh look it\'s raining again"


7. If you\'re American a \'fanny\' is not what you think (but nearly)

8. No one, absolutely no one in the UK  speaks like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins


9.Outside of London people get much, much friendlier  

10. If someone says the \'crack\' was good in a pub - it just means the conversation was good.


You should have a good time though if you visit as in the main we tend to be easy going. . Graeme.
